Angelcare is a multi-national company and our brand is known to parents all across the globe. Due to this we have quite a few questions on international delivery, purchasing and using our monitors outside of the United Kingdom.
The aim of this article is to provide some detail on those questions in one single place, so without delay, lets jump right in.
Firstly we need to know the following information, as it applies to the two topics discussed:
Every Angelcare baby monitor is created for use within specific countries/territories. This is due to various reasons but one of the most important is Radio Frequencies.
For example, as a brand we must ensure none of our monitors operate on frequencies that are used by local emergency services. If so, this may lead to interference and impact on the emergency service performance and efficiency.
Keep that information in mind as we go over the next couple of topics.
1. Using your Angelcare Baby Monitor on holiday:
This advice; you would be surprised at how often we hear about people damaging their monitors this way, if you are travelling with an Angelcare Baby Monitor, please ensure you package the monitor well to help avoid damage in transit. Any damage caused is not covered under your warranty. As a recommendation, we suggest using the original packaging if possible.
Outside of the UK and Ireland, we can offer no guarantee that your monitor will work consistently. This is due to frequency regulations and local interference.
However if you only wish to monitor movement, you can use your Sensor Pad and Nursery/Camera Unit with batteries, or mains (where available).
Before you leave home ensure the movement function is activated!
In the event that your Parent Unit loses connection whilst on holiday, with the Nursery/Camera Unit you can continue to use the Sensor Pad to monitor your baby’s movements. You do not need to have the Parent Unit ON. This does impact on some functionality.
Standard alkaline batteries will not last for more than a few days with continued use.
Finally, as with most electronic devices, it is recommended to use region appropriate power supplies where ever possible.
2. Purchasing an Angelcare monitor outside of the United Kingdom & International Shipping:
You can still purchase a UK monitor from outside of the UK, however we can offer no guarantee it will work as intended.
With this in mind we strongly recommend you buy your monitor from a local distributor who manages stock specific to your region. Ensuring you keep your warranty and ability to receive up to date and accurate product support.
If you do purchase a UK monitor from outside the UK and Ireland we will honour your warranty as best we can. That said we cannot directly provide spares to an overseas location. We can however forward them to a UK address.
